From 15 October 2026, the NDIA is increasing integrity checks on NDIS claims submitted more than 90 days after a support was delivered. Older claims may be held for up to 28 days while additional checks are completed, and the NDIA may request further information before payment.
What does this mean for service providers?
Submit invoices promptly and make sure they are complete and correct. At Trinity Plan Management, we are currently seeing invoices delayed because of incorrect support item numbers, incorrect claim types or suffixes, outdated pricing and missing invoice information.
Before invoicing, providers should check the current:
NDIS Support Catalogue 2026-27
These documents should be used to confirm the correct support item number, current pricing and applicable claim type before an invoice is submitted.
What does this mean for participants, nominees and carers?
- Check that providers are invoicing regularly.
- Review invoices and monthly statements.
- Raise concerns if dates, hours, services or charges do not look correct.
Important: Claims over 90 days are not automatically rejected, but they may take longer to process while additional checks are completed.
At Trinity Plan Management, our aim is to process eligible invoices efficiently while ensuring claims meet current NDIS requirements.
